Febe Earrings

The Febe Earrings in this picture are handmade using the lost-wax casting technique. They are cast in solid certified recycled bronze and are gold plated in 3micron 18ct yellow gold.

Each stud earring shows three carved stars with a pearl and has three-flowing hand-textured charms.

The main earring measures approximately 2.4x2cm with a 3mm thickness. Each hanging charm measures about 8mm.

The Earrings were inspired by warm summer nights spent admiring a starry sky by the sea, while appreciating the power of the Moon on the Maree (sea tide).

These earrings show the jeweller’s finger and tool marks to recreate an organic surface reassembling planets and the moon.
Febe has been linked to themes of enlightenment and guidance; it comes from the Greek mythological Titan goddess Phoebe, who was a associated with the Moon and the intellect. She is often linked to brightness, clarity and purity, the spirit of which is shown in these earrings.
