Febe Medallion necklace

The Febe Medallion necklace in this picture is handmade using the lost-wax casting technique. It is cast in solid certified recycled bronze and it is gold plated in 3micron 18ct yellow gold.

It shows three carved stars and a pearl on one side and it is hand-textured on the other side so that you can play around and wear it on which side you prefer.

The medallion measures approximately 2.4x2cm with a 3mm thickness.

The necklace comes with a 12ct gold-filled large cable chain with a silver gold plated Albert Swivel clasp.
The length of the whole necklace, including the medallion, is 52cm, which drops 28cm around your neck ( 20.5”).

The Febe Medallion necklace was inspired by warm summer nights spent admiring a starry sky by the sea, while appreciating the power of the Moon on the Maree (sea tide).

This Medallion shows the jeweller’s finger and tool marks to recreate an organic surface reassembling planets and the moon.
Febe has been linked to themes of enlightenment and guidance; it comes from the Greek mythological Titan Goddess Phoebe, who was a associated with the Moon and the intellect. She is often linked to brightness, clarity and purity, the spirit of which is shown in this medallion.
