La Dea Bendata Medallion

The La Dea Bendata ( blindfolded goddess ) Medallion necklace in this picture is handmade using the lost wax casting technique. It is casted in solid bronze and gold plated in 18ct yellow.
It shows the dea bendata on one side and it is hand-textured on the other side.

The medallion measures almost 2.5cm with a 4mm thickness.

The necklace comes with a gold-filled rolo chain with a tog & bar clasp,.
The length of the whole necklace (including the medallion) is 55cm ( 21.5”).

La Dea Bendata Medallion necklace was inspired by an antique charm passed down to me by my mother in my childhood and I have treasured it in all my travels and adventures of life.
This Medallion shows the jeweller’s fingers and tool marks to recreate a treasure rediscovered from a derelict vessel at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea.
The charm represents The Goddess of Fortune who, blindfolded, gives direction and guidence during sailing, travelling and on our personal journey of life too. It also symbolises Love and Trust
